Re “Huntington Beach girl can stay in U.S. during custody dispute, court rules,” March 19

A custody dispute is in progress between two illegal immigrants and their daughter, who is also in this country illegally. A federal appeals court decided that because the girl is already “settled” in her new country -- she is getting good grades in school and is on the soccer team -- she is allowed to stay here during her parents’ custody dispute.

I could be “settled” within a week on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, but I seriously doubt the French government would finance my education and soccer activities.

I object to my taxes being used to pay for even five minutes of the judges’ time. This case clearly belongs in Mexico, where all three of these people are citizens.
