Dish Network Corp. is being sued by the government for alleged violations of the national Do Not Call Registry.

The Federal Trade Commission accused the country’s second-largest satellite TV company of making more than 20,000 phone calls to people on the do-not-call list.

The Englewood, Colo., company issued a statement denying that it violated the law.

The FTC said Dish Network was the first company accused by the agency of do-not-call violations that didn’t agree to settle the case.
