NBC and DirecTV have worked out another deal to keep “Friday Night Lights” on the air for two more seasons, the network said Monday.

The deal calls for the production of 26 episodes to air over the next two seasons in 13-episode installments.

Although some of the most popular characters, such as Lyla (Minka Kelley) and Tyra (Adrianne Palicki), have graduated, producers expect them to return for a few episodes to wrap up their stories the way Jason Street (Scott Porter) did this past season. Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) will be back.

The seasons will air first on DirecTV’s 101 Channel and then on NBC, the same way it worked this year.
