Intending to be timeless

Room & Board, the contemporary home furnishings emporium, still has fabric stock left over from 2008, so for a limited time it’s creating a special line of furniture offered at 30% to 35% below what the store normally would charge. Because there isn’t enough fabric to create an entire year’s collection, these sofas, chairs and ottomans will not be restocked, and they’re available only online. Based on Room & Board’s design archive, the pieces are meant to be timeless. Fabrics are durable, often with a 1950s look. The Arnez chair, $599, is similar to pieces regularly priced at $799.
