Re “CIA pays for support in Pakistan,” Nov. 15
I think these (until now) discreet payments to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency by the CIA are fully justified, regardless of the alleged rogue elements in that agency, which seems the only one we can work with in Pakistan.
I think the disclosure of this CIA activity by The Times is a great disservice to our country’s effort to defend itself against its fanatic enemies.
The paper may justify this by saying it’s the public’s right to know. Well, I am the public. It is clear to me that a war is going on. And I wonder, whose side are you on?
