High pay for pointing

Re “Budget crisis may mean gridlock at big events in L.A.,” Oct. 15

Hey, where do I get in line for one of those $40.92-an-hour gigs directing traffic at the Greek Theatre or the Hollywood Bowl?

And to think I wasted tens of thousands of dollars sending my son to a good college so he could make a comfortable living. Silly me, I should have just bought him a flashlight and a Day-Glo vest and sent him on his way.

If the city wants to pay this kind of money for police to go out and catch bad guys, I’m all for it, but to spend $40-plus an hour for someone to direct traffic is nuts.

The city is almost broke. Come on guys, get a clue.
