Royal Caribbean’s nine-night spring cruise of the Mediterranean starts in Rome and stops at six classic ports of call in Italy, Greece and Turkey. And the price is nice too. Cabins start at $727 -- or about $80 a day -- per person. That’s a lot of cultural capital for not much capital.
The deal: TravelZoo tipped me to this deal in its Top 20 list this week. The wow factor is the length of the cruise and the incredibly low prices. Prices for the 9-Night Mediterranean Cruise start at $727 per person, based on double occupancy, for an interior cabin and $1,099 for an outside cabin; prices don’t include tax and fees.
When: The Mariner of the Seas leaves Rome on March 27 and returns April 4.
Tested: I checked online and easily found an interior stateroom for two for $727 plus tax and fees each. Final tab: $796 each or about $1,593 for the cabin.
