The $39 or less deal: Yosemite National Park

Share

If you yearn for cheap sleeps more than warmth and indoor plumbing, California’s Yosemite National Park has a winter deal that will test your mettle. Or with another deal from the park, you can pay a bit more and turn on the heat.

The deal: Under the Curry Village Temp-RATE-ture offer, your nightly rate for an unheated tent cabin is based on the previous night’s low temperature, as recorded by the National Park Service. The most you’ll pay with this deal is $39 a night, double occupancy, less than half what these cabins cost in summer. If you want a heated cabin, choose the All U Can Heat offer and pay the rate based on the previous night’s recorded low temperature plus $10. The bathhouse, with shower, is nearby but outside. Available Fridays and Saturdays only, through March 27.

Info: DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, (801) 559-4884, www.yosemitepark.com. By phone, request the “Temp-RATE-ture” rate for an unheated cabin and the “All U Can Heat” rate for a heated cabin. For online bookings, the promotion codes are: “CVtempRATE” for the unheated cabins or “ALLUHEAT” for the heated cabins.
