Update:
The Clippers, success-impaired against the Spurs, move on to face another daunting opponent, the Hornets. They’ve lost 12 straight games to New Orleans, including three this season. The Hornets’ average margin of victory in those three games: 16.6 points. Forward James Posey (flu symptoms) missed the Hornets’ game at Phoenix on Sunday night, and it remains unclear whether he will play against the Clippers. The Clippers, who had Sunday off, have lost seven straight games and continue to struggle without shooting guard Eric Gordon in the lineup. Gordon (sore right leg) has missed the last five games, and the Clippers are 4-13 without him this season.
