“Secretariat”: An article about the movie “Secretariat” in the Calendar section elsewhere in this edition reported that Disney distributes movies from Marvel Studios. Although Walt Disney Co. owns Marvel Entertainment, films from Marvel Studios are distributed by Paramount Pictures. The error was detected after the section was printed.
Colombian coffee: An article in the Sept. 26 Section A about rising coffee prices misspelled the last name of Rabobank agriculture economist Guilherme Melo in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as Memo.
Richard Bing: Steve Lopez’s column in the Sept. 12 Section A about 100-year-old retired physician Richard Bing said that Charles Lindbergh had persuaded Bing to move to the U.S. in the 1930s to do heart-related research that might help Lindbergh’s ailing sister. In fact, Lindbergh suggested the research on behalf of his sister-in-law.
