Herb Ritts Photographer Ritts died in 2002, and his work had been stored in a vault since then. Now a collection of his striking fashion and portraiture photography is on display at Fahey/Klein Gallery. In addition to his famous celebrity portraits, the exhibition includes work that has seldom been seen by the public. Fahey/Klein Gallery, 148 N. La Brea Ave., L.A. Exhibition runs through Dec. 4. (323) 934-2250; https://www.faheykleingallery.com.

BOOKS

Sergio Aragones Marginalia — the notes and doodles scribbled in the white space of printed material — is usually an afterthought, but for Aragones, it’s an art. The prolific illustrator has long filled the margins (and pages and covers) of Mad magazine with keen cartoons that have helped define the publication’s irreverent sense of humor. Aragones’ work has been collected in the new book “Mad’s Greatest Artists: Sergio Aragones,” which he will sign and discuss. Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. 5 p.m. Free. (310) 659-3110. https://www.booksoup.com.

POP MUSIC

Interpol The band’s self-titled fourth album is a brooding, atmosphere-heavy affair in which its tight springs of post-punk have been replaced with guitar drones and distant menace. It’s not the flavor for fans of singles such as “Evil,” but it’s a bold reassertion of relevance from a veteran band. Greek Theatre, 2700 N. Vermont Ave., L.A. 7:30 p.m. $35-$39.50.
