White Sox complete the three-game sweep of Angels

Omar Vizquel singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh inning to help the Chicago White Sox complete a three-game sweep of the Angels with a 4-3 victory on Sunday at Angel Stadium.

Juan Pierre went two for five with an RBI and two runs scored for the White Sox, who have won seven in a row over the Angels. It’s their longest streak against the Halos since a 10-game run from June 15, 1983-June 4, 1984.

Tony Pena (5-2), making his second career start, gave up three runs on eight hits in six innings to get the win.

Jered Weaver (13-12) gave up four runs -- three earned -- and eight hits over 6 2/3 innings for Los Angeles, which has lost four in a row.
