John Green, the bestselling author of young adult fiction, is already a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. The film adaptation of his novel “The Fault in Our Stars” grossed over $300 million worldwide, and a movie based on his “Paper Towns” is likely to be a hit when it’s released on Friday.

Moviegoers who can’t get enough of Green are in luck: The author has signed a first-look production deal with Fox 2000, where he will work with the team who produced “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Paper Towns.”

Elizabeth Gabler, president of Fox 2000, called Green “a force of nature,” saying, “We are elated to expand upon our already extraordinary relationship with John and feel honored to be able to enhance our creative horizons together.”

Green confirmed the deal on his Twitter account, linking to a story in the Hollywood Reporter and adding, “So excited about this announcement: [Rosianna Halse Rojas] and I get to produce films with the awesome people at Fox 2000.” Rojas, 23, is Green’s personal assistant, and has been hired by the author as a production executive.

The movie adaptation of “Paper Towns” opens in theaters Friday, and had a premiere in New York on Tuesday. The film stars Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne, and features a cameo by Green.

A film version of Green’s novel “Looking for Alaska” is also in the works, with Rebecca Thomas as director, replacing Sarah Polley.

Casting for that movie is underway, and Green has said he’d like to see Taylor Swift play a role -- or two, or three -- in the film. He told “Access Hollywood” that “[i]t’s not my decision who to cast. I do like Taylor Swift a lot; I’m a big Taylor Swift fan.”

Green added: “It could be one of those movies where Taylor Swift plays every character, just in a different outfit, like ‘Austin Powers.’ Starring Taylor Swift, AND Taylor Swift. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for that.”
