June Lake, a town of about 650 people on the shores of an aspen- and pine-ringed lake thrives on the spending of anglers in the summer and winter skiers at nearby June Mountain. But residents are worried ever since the owners of the town’s nearby ski resort announced the mountain’s closure because of a continued drop in ski visitors. Full story
