Google is looking to get even more personal.
The Internet search engine is experimenting with including information from users’ Gmail accounts in search results.
It’s part of Google’s effort to make itself even more relevant to users and maintain its dominance in search, which drives most of its revenue. Gmail has more than 425 million users. They can already sift through their emails to find a receipt from Amazon.com or an invitation from a friend.
Now if they are logged into Gmail, they can also see a list of relevant emails when they search Google. The results can only be seen by that user.
The experiment announced Wednesday is limited to 1 million Gmail users who will test the feature.

In a blog post, Amit Singhal, who heads Google’s search efforts, said “sometimes the best answer to your question isn’t available on the public Web.”
