Chargers’ Antonio Gates relists his L.A.-area home for $2.5 million

With his regular season having come to a close, San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is ready to tackle some business away from the field. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection and his wife, Sasha, have put their home in Hollywood Hills West back on the market at $2.5 million, down from about $3 million a year ago.

Tucked against a hillside, the remodeled contemporary-style home previously had a star turn on “Wags,” the E! reality television show on which Gates’ wife appears, according to a release.

The living space of more than 4,400 square feet includes formal living and dining areas, an updated kitchen, a media room, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The master suite occupies the entire top floor and has a Juliet balcony overlooking the swimming pool and spa.

There’s also an elevator servicing each floor.

Sliding glass doors open to front and rear terraces for indoor-outdoor living. A two-car garage sits off the entrance to the home.

Brittney Hinds of EXp Realty of California and Jeff S. Katz of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties are the co-listing agents.

Gates, 36, appeared in 14 games for the Chargers this year, catching 53 passes for 548 yards and seven touchdowns. He is the Chargers’ all-time record-holder for receiving yards (11,192) and touchdown catches (111), and is tied with Tony Gonzalez for the most scores by a tight end in NFL history.

He bought the house in 2013 for $1.66 million.
