Producer Barry Katz has listed his place in Malibu at $2.5 million.
Sited to take in panoramic views of the ocean, canyons and mountains, the airy 3,074-square-foot contemporary was built in 1979 and features vaulted ceilings, walls of glass and clerestory windows.
An entry, living and dining rooms, a glass-sided breakfast room, a den, an office, a bonus room, a loft, four bedrooms and three bathrooms are among the living spaces. There are fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom.
The acre of grounds includes gardens and a swimming pool with a spa.
Katz, 55, has scores of producer credits for such movies as “My Best Friend’s Girl” (2008), “Good Luck Chuck” (2007) and “Last Comic Standing” (2003). More recently he was an executive producer for the series “Mr. Box Office” (2012-13) and “Whitney” (2011-13).
He bought the property in 2008 for $2 million.
Chad Rogers of Hilton & Hyland / Christie’s International Real Estate and Tracy Lynn Testin of Sotheby’s International Realty are the listing agents.
