Charlie McDermott lands in the middle of Hollywood Hills

Charlie McDermott, who stars on “The Middle,” has bought a house in Hollywood Hills for $997,000.

That’s not a bad commute to the Heck family homestead in fictional Orson, Indiana – or, in reality, a Burbank soundstage.

The traditional-style home, built in 1968, features 180-degree views of the surrounding hillsides. The two-story has an open floor plan, high ceilings, a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,259 square feet.

The updated kitchen features granite counters and an island with seating for four. Two balconies take in the panoramic views.

The two-car attached garage has space for a studio or office.

McDermott, 24, has starred since 2009 as Axl Heck in the ongoing ABC series. He was in the 2004 series “Windy Acres” and starred in the films “Disappearances” and “Frozen River.”

Public records show he took out a $625,500 mortgage.

Scott Nell of Keller Williams was the listing agent. Massoum Shayegi, also with Keller Williams, represented McDermott.
