John Legend, Chrissy Teigen list their house in the Hills
Singer-songwriter-actor John Legend and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen, have listed their home in Hollywood Hills for $1.995 million.
Set on more than a quarter-acre on a cul-de-sac, the remodeled 1960s contemporary has nearly 2,000 square feet of Asian-inspired interiors that complement the home’s gardens, fountains and outdoor bathtub. Steps lead up to an hot tub.
Custom details include etched teak cabinetry, textured stone floors and rain gutters insulated for low sound. The home features an open-plan living area with beamed cathedral ceilings, a center-island kitchen, an expansive deck, three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms serves as a recording studio.
Legend, 35, has won nine Grammys including three in 2010 for writing the R&B song “Shine,” for performance on “Hang on in There” and for best R&B album “Wake Up.”
Teigen, 28, appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated this year. The couple were married last year.
Legend bought the property in 2007 for $1,512,500, public records show.
