Set on a corner lot near the Strand, the five-bedroom home has cathedral-style ceilings, an ocean-facing office and a rooftop deck with a hot tub and a wet bar.
Within the 3,668 square feet of open area is a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar/island, a living room with a gas fireplace, a dining area and a wet bar. The master suite sports its own fireplace as well as a walk-in closet and soaking tub.
June Emerson of South Bay Brokers listed the home on behalf of the hockey player. Diana Turner, also with South Bay Brokers, represented the buyer.
Handzus, 38, has spent time with the Blues, Coyotes, Flyers, Kings, Sharks and Blackhawks across 15 seasons in the NHL. He is now playing overseas in his native Slovakia.
