Actress Mindy Kaling parts with a classy classic in Beverly Grove

Actress and comedian Mindy Kaling has sold a home in the Beverly Grove area for $1.955 million.
The 1929 Spanish-style house retains its vintage charm with thick beamed ceilings, recurring arches, original built-ins and wrought-iron fixtures. Family and living rooms with fireplaces, a dining room and four bedrooms are within the 2,674 square feet of clean-lined interiors.
The three bathrooms feature dramatic black-edged tilework that reflects the period. The modernized kitchen has stainless-steel appliances and a center island.
The garage has been converted into a gym.
Kaling, 38, was on the long-running sitcom “The Office.” She followed that with ”The Mindy Project,” for which she was a writer and executive producer.
