Pierce Brosnan’s property from his 007 days is up for sale in Malibu

Pierce Brosnan was still ordering his martinis shaken, not stirred, when he owned this Malibu property.

The actor who starred as Agent 007 in four Bond films acquired the property in the 1990s and had originally planned to build on the site above Paradise Cove. But after buying another house nearby, he sold it in 1999, shortly before the release of “The World Is Not Enough,” for about $1 million.

Now listed for sale at $6.995 million, the two-parcel property of roughly six acres centers on a Spanish-style house with a tile roof and sweeping mountain and ocean views.

The 6,000 square feet of white-walled space features marble floors, clerestory windows and a formal entry that opens to the living room. A chef’s kitchen with beamed ceilings, a formal dining room, a family room, a den, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms fill out the floor plan.

There are four fireplaces including one in the ocean-view master suite.

Outdoors, the palm-topped grounds include a swimming pool with a blue-tiled spa, landscaping and rolling lawns. Mature trees provide shade for an outdoor dining area.

A detached three-car garage sits off the gated entrance.

Shirley and Brittany Sherman of Partners Trust Malibu are the listing agents.
