Tom Bresnahan sells Silver Lake home, designed by Paul Williams

Update: Actor Tom Bresnahan and his wife, Elizabeth French, have sold their Paul Williams-designed home in Silver Lake for $2.1 million.
The Monterey Colonial, named the Rene Faron residence for its first owner, sits on a knoll with views of the reservoir, city and mountains. The restored house, built in 1935, has formal living and dining rooms, a library, a wine cellar, an eat-in kitchen, four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms in more than 3,200 square feet of living space.
Architect Williams was known as an “architect to the stars” with a client list that included entertainer Frank Sinatra and actress Lucille Ball, among others. He also worked on such L.A. landmarks as the flying saucer-like Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport.
Bresnahan, 45, has numerous film and television credits, including “Private Practice” (2008), “The Kingdom” (2007), “Crossing Jordan” (2001, 2007), “CSI: NY” (2004) and “Ski School” (1990).
The property came on the market at $2,287,000.
Konstantine Valissarakos of Sotheby’s International Realty, Los Feliz, was the listing agent. Jamie Thompson of Prudential California Realty, Beverly Hills, represented the buyer.
