No need to go to Poland for a G spot app

Dr. Adam Ostrzenski, a semi-retired gynecologist from Florida, made headlines this week when he published a story in the Journal of Sexual Medicine declaring that he had located the elusive G spot -- the fabled key to enhancing a woman’s orgasm.

In an almost unbelievable article detailing Ostrzenski’s discovery by L.A. Times reporter Melissa Healy, we learn that the doctor found what he believes to be physical evidence of the G spot by conducting a postmortem examination of an 83-year-old woman in Warsaw Medical University’s Department of Forensic Medicine.

Ostrzenski had to go to Poland to conduct his examination because the United States has too many regulations about dissecting cadavers in place, Healy explained. In Poland, it’s easier to get your hands on someone who has just died and to dissect the cadaver while fine tissues’ distinctions still can be seen.

That sounds like a lot of trouble to go to just to figure out how to give the ladies a bit more pleasure.

As it turns out, there are nearly half a dozen apps available for download on Apple’s App Store and Google Play that purport to help find the secret spot.

The most popular one we found was the Understand G Spot app in Apple’s App Store, with a 3.5 rating from 76 reviewers.

It hooked us by asking sensible questions in the description, such as “If the G-Spot does exist why is it there?” and “And why is it so often overlooked?”

Other G Spot finding apps include Female G-Spot Secrets, which is available in a multitude of languages, and Female G Spot Tips, which says it can even help discern whether your female partner is faking an orgasm.

Over at Google Play, the most popular G spot app is called G-Spot how to, which has a rating of 3.5 from 26 reviewers. The app, which promises no nudity or sex images, may be a little too PG for some. One reviewer wrote: “Half the instructions are things like ‘get comfy.’”

Be forewarned, none of these apps are guaranteed life changers.

One reviewer wrote of Female G Spot Tips: “Not worth a penny. You know that app you download and makes you feel like a fool? Well this is that app.”
