Heidi Klum is the buyer of the Sherman Oaks estate sold by Ed Weinberger, one of the creators of “The Cosby Show,” and his wife, television actress Carlene Watkins, The Times has confirmed. The model/actress spent $9.875 million on the home in a gated Los Angeles community.

The red-brick Georgian-style mansion sits on 5 acres that take in canyon, mountain and San Fernando Valley views. Features of the custom home, built in 2000, include a two-story entry with a sweeping staircase, herringbone-patterned wood floors, a media room with a bar, two offices, a library, a wine cellar and a gym/dance studio. There are 11,600 square feet of living space, five fireplaces, six bedrooms and nine bathrooms including a pink “hers” bathroom, notes Real Estalker, which broke the news of Klum’s purchase.

A swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen and a one-bedroom guesthouse also are on the grounds.

Klum, 40, has been an executive producer on “Project Runway” since 2004. She made two appearances on the series “Parks and Recreation” this year. She and singer Seal divorced last year.

The Times’ neighborhood database, Mapping L.A., considers the community to be in Sherman Oaks, while the Multiple Listing Service puts it in Bel-Air.

Billy Rose, Jeeb O’Reilly and Mauricio Umansky of the Agency were the listing agents. Lynn Teschner of Coldwell Banker’s Beverly Hills South office represented Klum.
