Pictures: 9 kids’ books that stand the test of 1,000 reads

Let’s be frank. While reading to kids is often a ton of fun, when you’re slogging through a not-great book for the 47th time in a week, it can get a bit ... tedious. Thankfully, there are many books that stand the test of a thousand reads. You just have to hope that your kids love them too.

A constant favorite of readers and listeners alike in our house: “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak, who died this week at age 83.
