The American Cinematheque and the Art Directors Guild’s Film Society celebrate the career of Oscar-nominated production designer James Bissell on Sunday at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Among the films Bissell designed are 1982’s “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” 2005’s “Good Night, and Good Luck” and the upcoming “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation.” Bissell will discuss his work with production designer John Muto after a screening of 2002’s “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” the first of several films on which he worked for director George Clooney.
