A judge in Atlanta has decided Bobbi Kristina Brown’s autopsy report should be made public.

Superior Court Judge Henry Newkirk in Fulton County, Ga., on Thursday granted a motion to unseal filed by media organizations last September, the Associated Press reported.

The prosecution will not appeal, and the judge will sign the unsealing document within two days, Atlanta’s 11Alive news said Thursday.

The only child of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown died in hospice care in July at age 22, nearly seven months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at the Atlanta-area town home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon.

The prosecution had argued that because the investigation was ongoing and no arrests had been made, unsealing the report “could compromise the investigation’s integrity,” endanger witnesses and create a flight risk for possible defendants, according to a Sept. 25 filing obtained by Atlanta’s WSB-TV. The records were sealed Sept. 28.

Bobby Brown’s attorney, Christopher Brown, issued a statement at the time saying the singer was “pleased” that the medical examiner’s report had been sealed.

A civil lawsuit brought in August by Bobbi Kristina’s court-appointed conservator (who alleged Gordon had abused her, taken her money — including $11,000 after she was hospitalized — and maneuvered himself into a position to control her and her substantial wealth) was amended in August to include an accusation of wrongful death.

The suit seeking $10 million in damages alleges, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, that Gordon gave his girlfriend a “toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious” and put her face-down in a tub full of cold water, where she suffered brain damage that ultimately resulted in her death.

In November, attorney Bryant Green stopped representing Gordon in that case because of a conflict of interest, Entertainment Tonight reported in early February. Gordon has been representing himself since then, ET said.
