Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell
When these two welcomed their daughter Lincoln in March, we literally laughed out loud over their spouse-deprecating Twitter announcements. “Lincoln Bell Shepard is here. She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!” the “Parenthood” actor tweeted.

Added the new mommy: “My new roomate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent...basically @daxshepard1 pre-sobriety :) welcome baby Lincoln xo.”

And in June, after the Supreme Court’s decisions on the Defense of Marriage Act and Prop. 8, Bell proposed to her man. Shepard had originally popped the question in 2009, but the couple was waiting for gay marriage to be legal before actually tying the knot themselves. "@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove,” she said on Twitter shortly after the decisions came down.

“DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let’s bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!”

Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting
“The Big Bang Theory” star, 27, announced her engagement to tennis player Sweeting in September after only three months of dating. And what better way to celebrate another month of togetherness than with a televised faux wedding on “Ellen”?

“I am very, very happy,” Cuoco said. “Life is so good right now, I cannot even tell you, we are so happy.”

The actress admitted that the relationship is “newer” and knew that “it looks a little crazy to some people,” but their romance just took off as soon as they went on their first date.

“By day two, I was like, oh, my God, it hit me. It’s so unbelievable, I said, ‘This is it, this is it, this is it...’ ”

DeGeneres pointed out that Cuoco doesn’t “dilly dally, you just get right to it,” so she offered up an expedited ceremony to keep with the couple’s tradition, since Sweeting was backstage anyway. And that was it, the two excitedly tied the “not” on national television for all to see. (AFP / Getty Images)

Beyoncé and Jay Z
Beyoncé and Jay Z may be fiercely private about their romance, but we got a few glimpses into the Carters’ lives this year and a few more sneak peeks at their daughter Blue Ivy (despite a whole debacle over their anniversary trip to Havana, Cuba).

Soon after her powerhouse performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Bey announced that she’d be going on a world tour and decided to make her husband an honorary part of it by calling it “The Mrs. Carter Show.” She also did numerous interviews detailing their home life and even posted an adorable Timberland-boot inspired family photo. The pair decided to go vegan during the month of December for Hova’s 44th birthday and showed the world how utterly smitten they still were with one another in her video for “Drunk In Love.” (Frank Micelotta / Getty Images)
Katy Perry and John Mayer
These crooners brought new meaning to the term “on again/off again,” closing out 2013 definitely on again. Things picked up for the “Roar” singer and her brooding beau after the former Mrs. Russell Brand admitted in the July issue of Vogue that she was still “madly in love” with Mayer. Soon after, the pair were spotted together and Perry, the most followed celebrity on Twitter, began dropping more hints that they were back together. In August, the couple unveiled a romantic duet on Mayer’s just-released album “Paradise Valley.” The song, “Who You Love,” seemingly chronicled their bumpy romantic journey.

Upon discussing the accompanying video on “Ellen” in December, Perry and Mayer sweetly bantered and said that she and Mayer “have a lot of fun” together.

“I think when two people are involved, someone other than yourself, you have to figure out a compromise in a good way,” Perry said. “And there’s a lot of respect. You know, I really adore him and respect him as a musician, and that’s why I was excited and agreed to do a song with him.”  (Christopher Polk / Getty Images)
