Ryan Gosling is usually pretty tight-lipped about his personal life, but over the weekend “The Big Short” star gushed about his partner, Eva Mendes, and their daughter, Esmeralda.

“I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with,” Gosling, 35, told Hello! Canada. As for what he’s looking for in a woman? “That she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”

“The Notebook” hunk and his “Lost River” costar welcomed their daughter in September 2014, and Gosling is pretty pumped about this holiday season.

“This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in, so that’s exciting,” he said. However, he isn’t looking forward to Mendes’ choice in holiday tunes.

“She’s obsessed with the Hanson Christmas album! No disrespect to Hanson, they’re very talented kids, but I think I’ve heard that record enough. I’m sure it will be on a loop this Christmas as well,” he said.

Over the weekend, the Oscar-nominated star hosted “Saturday Night Live” and couldn’t keep his giggles at bay, cracking up during his opening monologue, which featured a cameo from “SNL” alum and fellow Canadian Mike Myers. Then later, in a sketch with Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong about being abducted by aliens, the actor broke character as McKinnon’s character detailed an extraterrestrial encounter. Watch it below.

Gosling’s financial crisis drama, “The Big Short,” which also stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Brad Pitt, hits theaters Dec. 23.
