Tyra Banks went "raw and real" for followers by posting a makeup-free selfie with no filter on Wednesday.

The supermodel and "America's Next Top Model" host shared the wide-eyed portrait on Instagram with a lengthy explanation about the "really real" version of herself. Then on Thursday, she followed up the snapshot with a dolled-up selfie that she explained is also the real her.

Both shots follow, with some Tyra-speak deciphered.

"You know how people say #nofilter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real? Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me," the "smize" specialist wrote.

Banks, 41, who posed bare with her hair neck pulled back, said she wanted to smooth out her dark circles under her eyes, but opted to show fans the "REAL" Banks.

"So...here I am. Raw. And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture. Maybe you're thinking, 'Whoa, she looks ROUGH.' And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. #RawAndReal," the former Victoria's Secret angel added.

The image received a largely positive response, with followers praising Banks' natural beauty and others thanking her for her bravery. (Several snarky commenters told her to reach for a few cosmetics.)

In the Thursday shot, the model kisses herself in a mirror, sporting full-face makeup, accessories and completely coiffed hair. She said that fans deserved to see her unretouched photo but noted that she wanted "to continue to keep it real."

Yesterday, I woke up and felt like showing you the me you deserved to see. #RawAndReal Today, I want to continue to keep it real. Why? Because we ALL know I don't walk around looking like the bare-faced photo I posted yesterday. Almost everyday, I rock mascara, blush up my cheeks and throw concealer on those damn dark circles under my eyes I was so tempted to touch up on my raw pic yesterday. The painted face you're looking at right now...THIS is REALLY me, too. Is it raw? Heck no! Is it real? The jury's out on that, but I say, "Yeah." I know what you're thinking. "What???!!!" It's real because I'm keepin' it REAL by admitting I need to put stuff on my face to look like a supermodel. (Add a lil' retouching and Wham, the final look is complete!) Yeah, I wished I woke up looking flawless, but that just ain't me. Not at all. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. None of us should be. #RougeAndReal

Banks said that she rocks mascara on her lashes, blush on her cheeks and throws concealer "on those damn dark circles" under her eyes on a daily basis.

Banks isn't the first big name to brave a bare face on social media. Beyonce, Laverne Cox, January Jones, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum are among the many to share makeup-free selfies.
