TV’s top salaries

TV salaries
They entertain us constantly, and are compensated well for doing it -- but maybe not as much as in previous years. The economy has hit TV earners, too, but they don’t really need our pity.

Whether it’s Hugh Laurie‘s $400,000 an episode, Selena Gomez’ $30,000 an episode or Ryan Seacrest‘s $15 million a year, celebrity paychecks are a much talked-about subject. TV Guide has put together a sampling of salaries, and though it’s not complete, is a good representation of ... well, with different networks, varying years of experience and differing degrees of success in a show, who knows what it represents. But we’re all curious. (Credit -- clockwise, top left -- Fox / Fox News / NBC / Fox / Associated Press / Getty Images)
