Earlier today the Internet’s thirst for mainstream “Orphan Black” notoriety was finally quenched when lead actress Tatiana Maslany was nominated for an Emmy. And at San Diego Comic-Con we sat down with the stellar cast of “Orphan Black,” Dylan Bruce, Kristian Bruun, Jordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and Ari Millen to talk new clones and undercover Brits.

Warning “Orphan Black” past season spoilers ahead.

On Paul’s Death:

Dylan Bruce: This is farewell tour.

Jordan Gavaris: So if it’s anything like Cher’s you’ll be back. Like 500 times.

Dylan Bruce: I’m going to cry a lot. It’s almost like a victory lap for me. It’s good to be here. We always have fun at Comic-Con.

Mrs. S’s big musical moment (and fake Guinness):

Maria Doyle Kennedy: It was funny, it was really great, it was kind of an honor that they asked me and that they wanted to use one of our songs. They knew I was a singer, [my band] actually did a gig in Toronto and they came and they were like, “oh you’re a singer singer.” I’m not quite sure what the difference was, but then they asked me to do it, I was thrilled. It was fun.

What was it liks shooting, filming a giant music video?

Maria Doyle Kennedy: It took awhile. Those things always do, which was fine for me I’m used to it, but my husband was doing a little cameo because he does make music with me in real life. And he was doing a cameo as a guitar player and he just couldn’t believe it, he was going mad. He was ready to leave after 40 minutes. He couldn’t believe that it was going to take six hours to do this one thing. Anyway we calmed him down and slipped him a few sneaky drinks. And he was OK. We were in a bar, after all.

Jordan Gavaris: Oh no we had something terrible. It was malted vinegar beer. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted.

Ari Millen: They don’t do ice tea?

Jordan Gavaris: No that’s ice tea for a Rusty Nail. But this was supposed to be Guinness. Warm, wanted vinegar

Helena and Donnie the surprise new besties:

Kristian Bruun: But with Helena, that was a dream come true. She’s so funny. Working with Tat [Tatiana] as someone else, until you do it, you’re not prepared for it. You spend so much time, I worked with Alison all the time, so to all of a sudden be in front of Helena, but it’s Tat, but it’s Helena. It just throws you for a loop. So you really have to be on your toes, because it could completely scuttle the scene. We had so much fun just improving back and forth before the scenes, kind of discovering each other’s characters…. It was as surprise for Donnie, I think, to see how much he enjoyed being around Helena. Because at first he was so reticent about it.

Felix on playing a version of himself playing a version of himself meeting new clone Krystal at the nail salon:

Jordan Gavaris: The most fun, bizarre experience because I would stay in the accent, I would be [Felix] in-between set ups, talking to the crew. And then I would drop it when we went to camera. Which was bizarre and I’d never done that before. It would be so interesting to see what would happen with the accent because the British would still pervade every once in a while, and certain syllables would sound a little more English than others. It wouldn’t be completely American because anyone who is conning, especially Brits, if they’re not trained in accent work the accent isn’t going to be perfect. It’s just neat to see something that on a page that looks a bit cartoonish and comical and just funny. And then to have this, Tat never works in two dimensions she’s always working in three dimensions, so the character that could have otherwise been a caricature was a real living, breathing persona. And that obviously inspires me. It was the most fun I’ve ever had.

We met the clone Krystal this year, I can’t think. Who would you like to see Tatiana create.

Jordan Gavaris: Trailer park mom.

Maria Doyle Kennedy: She really loves music and beats so much, I’d really like to see her as quite a serious rapper.

Kristian Bruun: [Tatiana] is such a B-girl in real life.

Saying goodbye to (some of) the Castor Clones”

Ari Millen: I think the hardest person to say goodbye to was Seth because I saw, in preproduction, just developing these guys. I really started to really enjoy Seth. And I was really sad he was gone in episode 2, and I knew it was coming. I think I would’ve had a lot of fun with him. I don’t know it was quite a ride this year.

Jordan Gavaris: Rudy’s death was beautiful. It was beautifully shot, it was beautifully executed, no pun intended. It was really, really well done. And very moving.

Ari Millen: It was probably the right person to meet his death to [Helena].
