Times reporter Glenn Whipp talks about his Quentin Tarantino interview on ‘CBS This Morning’

Los Angeles Times reporter Glenn Whipp appeared on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday to talk about his interview with Quentin Tarantino and the controversy that followed the filmmaker's appearance at a New York march Oct. 24 protesting police brutality.

Police groups across the country took issue with Tarantino's remarks and have called for a boycott of his upcoming movie, "The Hateful Eight."

Tarantino had not addressed the campaign until he talked with The Times about the police boycott this week. (The reader comments are piling up in the full Q&A with Tarantino that we posted later.)

The director offered no apologies to his critics. "I'm not a cop hater," Tarantino said. "That is a misrepresentation. That is slanderous. That is not how I feel."
