POP MUSIC

Joseph Arthur The singer-songwriter and intriguingly experimental sound artist is taking an unusual approach to his residency at the Bootleg Theater this month. He’s making the night a combination of gallery showcase for his original visual work as well as a trip through his long catalog of loop and noise-based tunes. He plays with Dhani Harrison and Ben Harper in Fistful of Mercy, so unexpected guests and collaborations are always a possibility. Bootleg Theater, 2220 Beverly Blvd., L.A. 8 p.m. Free. https://www.foldsilverlake.com.
