Listen to Elsa, unbothered by a cold, in new ‘Frozen Fever’ song

The bad news for fans of Disney-princess pop is that the House of Mouse’s new “Cinderella,” opening this weekend, isn’t a musical. (And given the record-smashing success of the song-stuffed “Frozen,” how crazy is that?)

The good news is that there’s a fresh ditty by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the Oscar-winning tween whisperers responsible for “Frozen’s” totally unavoidable (yet absurdly Grammy-neglected) “Let It Go.” Released Thursday, it’s widely available to hear now.

Sung by Idina Menzel (back in her “Frozen” role as Elsa) and Kristen Bell (as Anna), “Making Today a Perfect Day” figures prominently in “Frozen Fever,” the Disney animated short playing in movie theaters before “Cinderella.”

The song, like the film, details Elsa’s beleaguered attempt to throw Anna the best birthday party ever. Problem is, Elsa has a cold.

But if you think that ever bothered her, you wouldn’t be reading this anyway.
