Listen to Justin Timberlake’s new single ‘TKO’

Justin Timberlake released a new single -- yes, another one -- late Thursday.

“TKO,” featuring his longtime collaborator Timbaland, is the second sampling from Timberlake’s upcoming album, “The 20/20 Experience -- 2 of 2,” due Sept. 30. In July the pop superstar put out “Take Back the Night,” which itself followed a string of hits from Timberlake’s first album of 2013, “The 20/20 Experience.”

The new track comes on more strongly than the lightly disco-fied “Take Back the Night,” with a grinding hip-hop beat and squelchy synth licks; it’s also longer, at just over seven minutes.

“TKO” arrives at the start of a typically busy week for Timberlake, who is to perform Saturday at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, then head to L.A. for a free outdoor show Tuesday on Hollywood Boulevard. The singer has said he’ll do new material at both gigs.
