Stream complete ‘Django Unchained’ soundtrack here
In need of online-shopping accompaniment that doesn’t feature sleigh bells or mistletoe? Consider the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Django Unchained,” which you can stream below.
As with most of Tarantino’s soundtracks, the album features bits of dialogue and some classic film music, including several themes by spaghetti-western kingpin Ennio Morricone.
But in a first for the director, the set also contains newly commissioned tracks by Rick Ross, John Legend and Anthony Hamilton, as well as a strangely effective mash-up of James Brown’s “The Payback” and “Untouchable” by 2Pac.
At Power 106 FM’s Cali Christmas concert last weekend, Ross informed the audience that his contribution, the menacing “100 Black Coffins,” may well be nominated for an Academy Award for original song.
Decide for yourself whether it should make the grade.
