Madonna’s upcoming Rebel Heart tour, which kicks off next month in Canada, will include costume collaborations with an impressive list of high-profile designers including Jeremy Scott and Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, it was announced today.

The press release for the singer’s tour reads like a fashion week primer, name-checking a long list of luxury designers and brands that, in addition to the above, includes Alexander Wang, Fausto Puglisi, Nicolas Jebran, Miu Miu, Prada and Swarovski. Also on board – and contributing designs – will be costume designer Arianne Phillips, making this her sixth tour with Madonna.

Having seen many a Jeremy Scott show (and having just screened the documentary “Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer,” due out in mid-September) we have to confess that we’re most excited to see what fashion’s club kid Jeremy Scott brings to the party. They’re no strangers, of course, Scott has worked with Madonna on past occasions including dressing her and her entourage for the “Bitch, I’m Madonna” video and designing the Jeremy Scott for Moschino gown she wore to this year’s Met Gala – which Scott himself attended on the arm of singer Katy Perry, who was also wearing one of his designs.

Madonna’s tours have always had a little “fashion week of one” feeling to them, and over the years she’s taken to the stage in costumes created in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Lacroix, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel and, perhaps most famously, Jean Paul Gaultier, who created the memorable – and image-making -- cone bra the singer wore during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990.

Madonna’s Rebel Heart tour is scheduled to get under way Sept. 9 in Montreal and end March 27 in Brisbane, Australia. A full list of tour dates and additional information can be found at Madonna.com.
