More than half a million dollars was raised to combat ovarian cancer over the weekend in the West Coast debut of a long-running annual benefit called Super Saturday.

Hosted by Rachel Zoe and Molly Sims, the part designer sale, part garage sale, part family-fun day at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar drew the likes of Lisa Rinna, Liev Schrieber, Jenna Ushkowitz, Rachel Roy, George Kotsiopoulus and Bill and Giuliana Rancic and, according to organizers, added more than $600,000 to the coffers of the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Traditionally held in the Hamptons on New York’s Long Island, a West Coast version was added this year to mark the fund’s 20th anniversary. Organizers say plans are in the works to stage a sophomore L.A.-area outing of the fundraiser next year with Sims and Zoe on board to co-host. The exact date of the 2015 event is still to be determined.

It should be noted that this is in addition to, not instead of, the original Super Saturday event, which this year is slated to take place July 26 in Water Mill, N.Y., with Donna Karan and Kelly Ripa listed as hosts.
