L.A.-based stylist Anita Patrickson launched Amanu, a custom-made, leather sandal label that turns out summer footwear in about 30 minutes.

Lasts, which has a shape similar to a human foot, are used by the artisans at new footwear label Amanu. A cobbler from Capri relocated to Los Angeles to teach the artisans how to make sandals by hand.

A look at the West Hollywood Amanu pop-up store, which is scheduled to be open through September. Custom sandals range in price from $160 to $275. You can choose from 12 styles (10 flats and two heels) with various colorways, fabrications and materials (leather, velvet, feathers and faux python).

Anita Patrickson says she was inspired to start Amanu, a custom-made, leather sandal business after a trip to Capri in Italy. Sandals from her label, which are available at West Hollywood pop-up, can be on your feet in about 30 minutes.
