‘Manatee’ gets Target in trouble. Kendall Jenner poses in Cosmo.

Target is being called out for naming the color of a plus-size dress it carried online “manatee gray” when the same dress in a regular size was labeled “dark heather gray.” No offense intended, Target says. Different teams were responsible for naming the styles and colors in the different size categories. (And to be fair, when I went to Target’s website to check on differences in product names, I found some plus-size garments in the much sleeker sounding “greyhound gray.”) [Forbes]

Kendall Jenner, one of the younger sisters in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, is in the next issue of Cosmopolitan, hitting newsstands Tuesday, and she says that while she’s grateful for the success of her family’s reality-show-based enterprises, she longs for some time to “be a normal kid.” No reality-show spinoffs for her; instead she intends to pursue her modeling career. High street retailer Zara reportedly is under investigation in connection with garment factories in Argentina that are accused of running sweat shops with slave-like conditions, the Telegraph reported. A company spokesman was unaware of the complaints but said Zara, which works with about 60 Argentine manufacturers, would cooperate with the investigation. [Telegraph]

USC student Otana Jakpor of Riverside was named one of Glamour magazine’s 10 College Women on Wednesday night. Jakpor was recognized for her work advocating for the environment, including giving personal testimony before the California Air Resources Board. Glamour has been naming the top 10 college women each year for 56 years. The women are profiled in the next issue of Glamour, due out on Tuesday. [Glamour]
