Gift pick No. 40: Post Studio glossy, graphic trays and coasters

Beth Duffy and Erik Kistel describe their Post Studio line of serving trays, coasters and wall panels as “California pop,” a marriage of midcentury modern and Op art that we’ve chosen as the latest installment in our Handmade Holidays gift guide.

Working out of a garage in South Pasadena, the couple apply their groovy, color-saturated graphics to Baltic birch plywood. The high-gloss resin top coat is waterproof, making the trays ($50 each) and coasters ($25 for a set of four) practical gifts or just-in-time solutions for New Year’s party hosts.
