“Distinction is the most exciting new luxury magazine for and about L.A.’s affluent and influential with a smart twist,” said Jane Kahn, publisher. “We will go inside the world of L.A. society that is not about Hollywood celebrities and focus on the business and cultural leaders, philanthropists and creative visionaries who have built Los Angeles into a vibrant, world-class city.”

Editor Laurie Pike said, “Our editorial vision is to capture the soul rather than the glitz of Los Angeles. Every issue will look inside the lives and homes of powerful, interesting people. We’ll cover all aspects of this lifestyle, from fashion and design to society and philanthropy, local culture and the arts.”

Design and Content

The magazine brings readers compelling articles and captivating photographs by some of L.A.’s best writers and photographers. Its contemporary, visually sophisticated design will be driven by large photo layouts.
