A wildfire burning on Navajo Nation land near the New Mexico-Arizona border spread to over 13,000 acres Tuesday morning. Officials estimate that approximate 50 residences are threatened and four structures have been destroyed. By Wednesday, the humidity had dropped and the temperature risen, but winds had diminished. The public should avoid access roads leading to the Bowl Canyon Recreation Area including access from Navajo (Mexican Springs Road), Crystal and Narbona.
