Vegas visitors this month can do good and eat well: Project Dinner Table, the perennial philanthropic pop up, returns June 8 for another signature Saturday night dinner.
The one-night feast — in which popular chefs prepare a family-style meal at unexpected spots — will take over the fairways at TPC Summerlin’s championship golf course. (Prior venues include the Neon Museum and the posh Tivoli Village shopping district.)
The event starts with a 6:30 p.m. social hour with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails followed by a six-course dinner prepared by chefs from Tao, Lavo and Caesars Palace.
Up to 200 guests will take a seat at one long table for a dinner of Italian seafood salad (with calamari, shrimp, baby octopus and other fixings), Duroc dragon tail spare ribs and sticky toffee chicken with shiitake quinoa salad, as well as beers, wines and live music.
“It is a thrill to cook for so many food lovers at once,” said Todd Harrington, executive chef at Caesars’ Central by Michel Richard. “It creates a very family-like atmosphere — something a restaurant setting could never bring.”
Tickets are $175 for Project members, $190 for nonmembers, and are available at www.projectdinnertable.com.
A portion of every dinner benefits a local charity, with proceeds from this event going to First Tee of Southern Nevada and Shriners Hospital for Children Open.
