Comedian Chris Hardwick buys in Hollywood Hills

Share

Comedian Chris Hardwick, whose offbeat humor embraces nerdiness, has purchased a house in the Hollywood Hills for $2.05 million.

Out-of-the-ordinary features include an outdoor mosaic tile bath with a 200-year-old faucet and a log cabin art studio. The 4,200-square-foot home has wrought-iron balconies, vaulted ceilings, two fireplaces, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There are terraced gardens and stone walls on the quarter-acre lot.

Even though the 1924 house recently underwent a three-year makeover, Hardwick has some plans of his own and has hired Finton Construction to complete the work. The residential builder is known for working with celebrities including Simon Cowell, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez.

Hardwick, 41, founded the cross-platform Nerdist entity, hosts “Talking Dead” (2011-present), and voices a lead character on Nickelodeon’s “Back at the Barnyard” (2007-present). His stand-up comedy special, “Chris Hardwick, Mandroid,” aired this month on Comedy Central.

Nick Mercado and Brian V. Moore of Sotheby’s Los Feliz office were the listing agents. Sharon Hills of John Aaroe Group in Beverly Hills represented Hardwick. (Yes, that’s his mom.)
