Woman seeks justice in mother’s killing

Alison Galvani, now a Yale professor who lives in Connecticut with her husband and her three children, is trying to persuade San Francisco prosecutors to charge her father in the 1982 killing of her mother.

In August 1982, fishermen found the body of Alison Galvani’s mother in San Francisco Bay. Alison was 5. Her father was arrested, but prosecutors decided not to pursue the case. Now, with the help of a private investigator, Alison hopes to persuade prosecutors to bring new charges against her father.
