Fatal fire
Flames engulf a house in Eagle Rock this morning. One person was killed and another was missing, officials said. The fire, which was put out in about 80 minutes, destroyed a two-story home and damaged a second home and an outbuilding, said Los Angeles Fire Inspector Ron Myers. (Fernando Rosas / For The Times)
