Crime alerts for Encino and 12 other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 13 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Twelve neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Encino (A) was the most unusual, recording five reports compared with a weekly average of 0.7 over the last three months.
Mission Hills (K) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 13 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 7.9 over the last three months.
One neighborhood triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for July 4–July 10, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
